The Northwest Lions Foundation helps Lions Clubs and other service organization restore sight and hearing in their communities. Read below to find out how these programs can help you and your neighbors.
Often, sight-impaired, deaf, and hard-of-hearing individuals cannot afford the special equipment or medical procedures they dearly need. In communities throughout Washington and Northern Idaho, the Northwest Lions Foundation comes to the rescue by matching funds raised by local Lions Clubs and other service organizations for hearing- and sight-related costs.
Funds from the Patient Care Program go to cover everything from seeing-eye dogs to braille readers to a prosthetic eye. In every case, this charitable support furthered the health and independence of an individual with hearing or sight loss.

The Northwest Lions Foundation provides financial support to vision- and hearing-related improvements in Northwest communities.
The Lynnwood Library used a recent grant to purchase a closed caption television system that magnifies print up to 50 times normal size.
The children in the photo are touring the Museum of Flight as part of a children’s workshop presented as part of the International Hearing Loss Association Convention held in Seattle. Many are wearing assistive listening devices purchased with a Project Support Grant.

The Lions Hearing Aid Program provides hearing aids to people with little or no income. We partner with local Lions Clubs to provide NEW state of the art digital hearing aids to residents of MD19 only. Applicants must be 18 or older.
The Hearing Aid Program has provided charitable support valued at more than $2.4 million to hard-of-hearing individuals in the Pacific Northwest.
